1991/1992

HYLA is founded by Doro Erjavec and Janez Pogacar, two Slovenian engineers, in Ljubljana/Slovenia. The first two years are spent on intensive technological development and testing of the HYLA. After this in-depth preparation, production and marketing are launched. The company is working immediately profitable and is successfully implemented on the Slovenian market.

1993

First contact with the German entrepreneurs and experts in networking marketing, Wilfried Metzger and his Partner. They join the team as partners and begin to set-up a worldwide sales and marketing system.

1994

HYLA is divided into two divisions, Development & Production, managed by the Managing Directors Doro Erjavec and Janez Pogacar, and Marketing & Sales, managed by the Managing Directors, Wilfried Metzger and Partner. HYLA Trade d.o.o. is founded for the division Marketing & Sales.

1995

Product excellence and experience in international network marketing prove to be a very successful combination: in the course of this year, the turnover p.a. can be increased by almost 300%. HYLA wins the award "Company of the Year" and D. Erjavec and J. Pogacar are awarded "Successful Entrepreneur of the Year" - a competition advertised each year by the magazine "Podjetnik" (an economic magazine similar to the German magazine "Manager").

1996

A piece of land with 5,000 square meters is purchased for the new production factory in Ljubljana/Slovenia. Start-up of building an own production site.

1997

Sales figures are steadily increasing. In parallel, additional new sales partners in 15 countries sign agreements with HYLA. Official opening of the new HYLA production factory in Ljubljana - the investment of 2 M€. The four partners invest approx. 25 % of the turnover into R & D. HYLA is taking second place in the competition "European Company of the Year".

1998

A technologically improved generation of the HYLA with a new design is presented to the market.

1999

HYLA International GmbH & Co. KG is founded and constructions for the HYLA Sales Headquarters are started. An office building with 1,500 square meters of space - an investment of 3 M€ - is built near the airport of Stuttgart, Filderstadt-Bonlanden.
Move into the new Sales Headquarters on September, 1st 1999.

Due to constantly increasing sales figures, another piece of land in Ljubljana/Slovenia is purchased to expand production facilities. HYLA gets ISO 9001 Certificate. In the meantime, HYLA is successfully represented in more than 30 countries.

2000

The constant growth of sales has to be at all times supported by an adequate response in production. In 2000, plans are ready for the new building - HYLA II.

For the new HYLA generation HYLA runs plenty of tests and makes further developments in their laboratory and testing facilities. Also, HYLA makes extensive testing on spare parts and accessories. As a result of testing, HYLA develops a specially cold-welding technology.

2001

HYLA NST - Evolution in Function and Design
Based on 10 years of continually development in technology, design and consistent research and the excellent results of tests, the HYLA NST is presented to the market in 2001. The HYLA NST has literally no competition on the market with its worldwide patented separator technology. The HYLA NST separator does not require removing for cleaning as the preceding model and as all competitors' systems.

The new HYLA Electro Flexible Hose
In 2001, the new HYLA Electro Flexible Hose is introduced. This innovation is unique and worldwide patented. The electro cord is welded to the inner wall of the flexible hose through a specially developed cold-welding technology.

The constant growth of sales has to be at all times supported by an adequate response in production. The new building "HYLA II", 2 km east from the present location, at a top location near the motorway, will enable HYLA to expand production, warehouse, office, laboratory and testing facilities to follow the growing demand for HYLA. Start-up for the construction of new building: in the first quarter of 2001.

2002

Another innovation is launched: The HYLA NST Wet Cleaning System is technologically improved for optimum wet cleaning of different surfaces.

This system is an integral part of the HYLA NST System and is designed for the wet cleaning of hard floors (ceramics, tiles, vinyl, etc.), carpets, upholstery and car seats and it has an additional spraying function.

HYLA II Production
A milestone in HYLA history is set by the construction and official opening of the new HYLA Production "HYLA II". Especially in our days, when everybody is talking of recession and economic crises, it is a particular sign of trust in the product and in the market that HYLA made such a gigantic capital investment. HYLA's Management is confident that HYLA business is only at the beginning of success and HYLA is looking very optimistic into the future.

2003

Further innovations and a new design of the NST Electro Brush EBK 340 is presented to the market in 2003. Outstanding features are the automatic parking switch with integrated on/off-function, the very bright and widely illuminating fluorescent lamp and motor management. The Electro Brush EBK 340 is brilliant due to its excellent dust pick-up. The EBK 340 is easy to operate and handle for hard floors (parquet floor etc.) and carpet cleaning.
